Private development, financing, ownership and management of Microgrids and CHP systems free up institutional capital and resources and enable institutions to concentrate on their core missions.  The presentation will focus on the Simpson House’s Clean Energy Infrastructure Project and funding incentives, including grants, utility and tax incentives, as well as utility and environmental regulations that were followed to properly develop Simpson House’s successful project.  The presentation will also discuss the benefits to Simpson House of integrating on-site natural gas fired trigeneration or Combined Cooling Heating and Power (CCHP) and new energy infrastructure while consolidating energy costs and improving its operations.  Simpson House is an excellent case study of a successful trigeneration or CCHP project in Philadelphia that came to life with the support of PGW, PECO, CFA, EnerG, Blue Sky Power, MCFA and all necessary stakeholders.
