Some follow-up questions from the webinar:

There was a slide showing the TES benefit from the IRA going from 12/31/2022 to 12/31/2024.  What happens after 2024?

That’s a great question about after 2024.  Starting in 2025, there will be a new Clean Electricity Investment Tax Credit – section 48E of the tax code.  This is described on page 20 of the White House IRA guidebook - https://www.whitehouse.gov/cleanenergy/inflation-reduction-act-guidebook/  For some projects, like Combined Heat & Power or Microturbines – the incentive will be very difficult under Section 48E (i.e. after 2024) to achieve 0 GHG emissions without clean hydrogen or some other similar source.

The current Investment Tax Credit is described on page 14 of the same White House IRA guidebook.  And the form for claiming the current Investment Tax Credit was just recently updated online at https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-3468

I work with all the schools in the PECO Territory, What is the best link I can use to send to my customers for them to look into?

Trane’s customer resources are at www.trane.com/incentives.  In thinking further about the topic.  We also have information more specific to K-12 schools (including decarbonization topics) here: https://www.trane.com/commercial/north-america/us/en/about-us/markets/k-12-education.html
