Electric power demand for indoor agriculture often exceeds existing local utility capacity, and the process for upgrading utility service can be lengthy.  Cultivators are increasingly turning to distributed power solutions to accelerate their operational timelines and improve energy efficiency in order to maximize their returns in increasingly competitive markets. As part of a suite of technologies, integrated combined heat and power (CHP) systems – also called cogeneration -minimize energy costs, reduces carbon footprint, and ensures energy security for maximum competitiveness over the long-term.

Kinsley Energy System’s team will present on high-efficiency, off-grid or grid-tied cogeneration capable of meeting this growing demand. In addition, they will present an overview of their newly commissioned 3.5MW CHP plant servicing a 45,000 sqft of canopy at a cannabis cultivation facility in Central PA.

Kinsley Energy is a full-service onsite energy solutions provider, including project development, system design, equipment supply, installation, financing, and service. We represent cogeneration products from TEDOM, a global leader of packaged combined heat and power (CHP) systems from 35kW to 4MW. Kinsley collaborates with experienced developers, engineers, contractors and financing firms to provide professionally engineered, durable and reliable onsite energy solutions that reduce energy costs, improve energy resiliency, and advance energy sustainability.
